This is Maya, aka Mighty Miss Maya, a tenacious 8-year-old living her life with cerebral palsy like a total boss. Since the day she was born she’s had an indomitable spirit. Her contagious smile and “never give up” attitude when facing big challenges has captured hearts and inspired so many across the world.

Through the last several years we have been documenting Maya’s journey with cerebral palsy and how our family handles the BIG stuff and the LITTLE stuff that comes up along the way. Through the telling of our own story we have been fortunate to connect with others walking a similar path. These connections have taught me so much about what it means to be part of a supportive community where we feel a little less alone in a situation that often feels very lonely.

Some of our greatest moments are those when strangers have reached out to us to let us know that by sharing our story we have helped them to keep moving forward, to look at their situation differently, or to try something new. We hope this can be a valuable resource for you, wherever you might be in your journey.
